Dyeing

Dyeing is the application of pigments or dyes on textile materials to produce yarns or cloths of different colors.   Two modern sub-types of the dyeing craft are BATIK (wax-resist dyeing) and TIE-DYE (to produce patterns in (a garment or piece of cloth) by tying parts of it to shield it from the dye).            Definition and basic history (Wikipedia)
